Each year at 12:01 AM on the third Thursday of November France celebrates the Beaujolais Nouveau Release: Big banners proclaim the good news, “Le Beaujolais Nouveau est arrivé!” "The New Beaujolais has arrived!" Come to experience the world most frivolous wine festivals in its birthplace, the small town of Beaujeu.

Afternoon
Beaujolais Nouveau Region & Wine-tasting at a family estate:
At 4:00 pm, your 8-seater minibus leaves Bellecour Square in Lyon to explore Beaujolais the Southern Beaujolais Region, birthplace of the Beaujolais Nouveau wine.
Cross several quaint medieval towns built in ochre-coloured stones and visit the lovely medieval village of Oingt. Enjoy beaufull views of stunning landscapes with with the autumn colors: yellow, red, brown, green, etc.
Then push the door of a small family winery, learn about the unique wine-making process of Beaujolais Nouveau before wine-tasting 4-5 wines ... but still too early for the Nouveau!
Dinner
Winery dinner at a small Beaujolais Estate:
After a short drive, at 7:15 pm experience a warm welcome at a small family winery and the traditionnal beaujolais apéritif. Then, share the wine’s maker table and enjoy a delicious homemade typical Beaujolais dinner paired with his best wines. Dinner included in the tour.
Evening
Beaujolais Nouveau Night Release:
At 10:00 pm, travel to Beaujeu to take part to the Beaujolais Nouveau festivities called “Sarmentelles”. At 11:15 pm, see the street procession with flaming torches and carts carrying burning vine-shoots as homage to the hard work of the vine-growers.
At midnight, enjoy the nice fireworks and be the first to taste the light fruity nectar with thousands of locals and guests coming from all over the world. Unforgettable!
At 12:30 pm, participants are driven back to Lyon for hotel drop off around around 1:30 am.
