Step into a beautiful apartment in the heart of Vieux Lyon and enjoy an unforgettable wine tasting Lyon experience.

Relax and discover 6 exceptional wines from the regions surrounding Lyon during a 2-hour guided tasting. You’ll sample 2 white wines, 3 red wines, and a dessert wine, all carefully selected by our sommelier and crafted by passionate local winemakers.

On the tasting menu: iconic grape varieties and regions, including Pinot Noir from Burgundy, Chardonnay from Mâconnais, Gamay from Beaujolais, and Syrah & Viognier from the Côtes du Rhône.

A generous board of cheese, charcuterie, and other Lyonnaise specialties perfectly complements the wines, creating ideal food and wine pairings.

We had an excellent tour led by Valentin in September 2025. The weather was questionable that day and he had umbrellas at the ready for us. We enjoyed a walking tour covering some of the sights of the area, and he was happy to answer our many questions both about historical parts of the city and contemporary life and developments within Lyon. We finished with an excellent assortment of wine and insights into how the industry works in France. Everything was very accommodating, at a good pace, and nothing felt rushed. Valentin was a wonderful guide, for both the walking tour and the wine tasting. We learned about the history and architecture of the city, then took a different tour of wines from the area. This was a spectacular adventure and our favorite tour/activity we've done on our trip to France. The guide and sommelier were friendly and informative. We got lucky and it was just my husband and I- very special. We would both highly recommend, even if you have limited time! When it ended up dumping rain/thunderstorming as we were leaving, they escorted us to the Metro which was a huge help. Thank you!

Very good experience with the Traboules and Tasting tour. First we visited the traboules in Vieux Lyon: even though we're Lyonnais, we learned lots of interesting new anecdotes about the history of Vieux Lyon and the surrounding area. We then ate quality local produce and tasted an excellent range of wines from the region. A warm welcome, we recommend this tour.

We loved our tour and tasting with Marie! She was incredibly knowledgable about both Lyon’s history and all the wine of the region and was able to answer any questions we had. We really loved how personable and fun she was! We were just a small group of 4 friends and she made sure we had a great time. She checked in on us before and throughout the tour to make sure she was spending time discussing things we were interested in, and shared her own personal experiences working with and studying wine with us. We loved her! The wine was amazing, the snacks included were delicious, and we loved that Marie told us which snack to pair with which wine. Even the apartment where the tasting took place was beautiful, with comfortable seating and a very clean bathroom. Highly recommend, a great way to spend a half-day in Lyon. And next time we’re in the region would love to do one of the longer trips!

We had a lovely tour through the old town with Olivier and Marie. After the interesting tour, we had a wine tasting in an old apartment in the old town. We had local wines and they were all great and we got lots of information about each wine and what cheese and other food goes with it. All in all, a great visit!

We spent a wonderful morning exploring Vieux Lyon, guided by Olivier. He helped us discover hidden passages and historical anecdotes about the city. After this little stroll, we tasted a variety of wines accompanied by cheeses and charcuterie in an apartment with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The wines were delicious and the comments made on each one were very enriching.
I'd recommend this activity to anyone looking to discover some of the traboules of Vieux Lyon and spend a convivial moment!

The Traboules tour and wine tasting in Lyon's old town with Olivier and Marie was the perfect tour to explore Lyon's old town. The knowledge they shared with our group of 5 friends was remarkable, both historically and in terms of the wines we tasted later. We saw many wonderful traboules, fountains, and local stores on the walking tour. The food and wine pairing in a beautiful apartment overlooking the old town was excellent. Kanpai tourism provided great literature and maps on the wines we were tasting. After doing this tour, it made me want to do all the other tours they offer!
