  • What is the difference between a Private Tour and a Small Group Tour?

    A Private Tour is run exclusively for you, your own families or friends with no other strangers. A Small Group Tour has fixed departure dates & itineraries and you will share the excursion with other participants from all over the world.

  • Why do I have to go to a

    Traffic conditions are very difficult in Lyon which makes pickup from hotel to hotel almost impossible. To avoid Tour departure delays, we set up a Meeting Point for tour departures to be join by participants. This Meeting Point is located in Lyon City Center and easily accessible on foot or by public transportation from most of the hotels.

  • Where is the Meeting Point for departure of the small group tours?

    All departures for Small Group Tours take place from Lyon OFFICE OF TOURISM building located Place Bellecour. The building is located on Place Bellecour itself, 30 m in front of the Royal Hotel.

  • Is there a possiblity of Hotel Pick up when I do a small group tour?

    Kanpai Tours can do an "hotel" pick up if you have problems to walk, if you are a small group of minimum 4 people and if your hotel is located in Lyon City Center. If you meet these criteria, please make the hotel pick up request when you book your Small Group Tour.

  • How many participants are on a Small Group Tour minibus?

    Our Small Group Tours are 4 to 8 participants maximum per minibus.

  • Is lunch included in the tour?

    Lunch is not included in our tours. We stop at local restaurants offering menus from 15-20 euros per person.

  • How can I contact Kanpai Tours Office?

  • Are the wine-tasting included in the tour price?

    Yes, wine-tasting are included in the tour. You don't have to pay anu fee when you visit wineries or Chateau.

  • How many wines do we taste per winery?

    On average, you will taste 4-5 wines per winery.

  • Can I buy wine during the tour? Can they ship bottles to my home?

    Yes, wines that you taste are usually available for purchase at the winery. If you wish, you can buy some bottles or sometimes some wineries offer shipping services to your own country.

  • Are tour guides bilingual?

    Yes, our guides speak English, French and sometimes Spanish.

  • Are my children allowed to join a small group tour?

    Yes, children can join our tours. If they are less than 8 years old, please specify the exact ages when you book so we can bring children / baby car seats.

  • Do I have to tip the guide?

    Tipping is not required. But if you are happy with our tour guide job, gratuities are appreciated. Thank you !
