Discover some secret traboules in Lyon Old Town (50 min.)

At 10:00 a.m., our guide will pick you up at the front door of the Tourist Office located on Place Bellecour. After the presentations, walk to Old Lyon and along the way discover different monuments that make up the history of Lyon.

Then, cross the majestic Saône river and reach the St Jean district, the heart of Old Lyon, a UNESCO world heritage site.

With your guide, it's time to discover the mysteries of the "traboules", these hidden passageways which connect two parallel streets through one or more buildings.

During this walk between light and darkness, open the door of several “Traboules” and discover a city within a city...

Wine Tasting

Tasting of 6 wines from vineyards around Lyon in a private room (1h30):

Step into a beautiful apartment in the heart of Vieux Lyon and enjoy a unique wine tasting experience.

Make yourself comfortable as you discover 6 wines from the regions surrounding Lyon during a relaxed and informative 2-hour session. You'll taste 2 white wines, 3 red wines, and a dessert wine, all carefully selected from passionate local winemakers.

On the menu: iconic grape varieties and regions including Pinot Noir from Burgundy, Chardonnay from Mâconnais, Gamay from Beaujolais, and Syrah & Viognier from the Côtes du Rhône.

A generous cheese and charcuterie board with other local specialities accompanies the tasting, offering delicious food and wine pairings.

Throughout the session, you'll learn about the local terroirs, grape varieties, winemaking techniques, and more – all in a warm and friendly atmosphere where everyone is encouraged to share their impressions and ask questions. The experience ends at 1:00 p.m.

Very good experience with the Traboules and Tasting tour. First we visited the traboules in Vieux Lyon: even though we're Lyonnais, we learned lots of interesting new anecdotes about the history of Vieux Lyon and the surrounding area. We then ate quality local produce and tasted an excellent range of wines from the region. A warm welcome, we recommend this tour.

We loved our tour and tasting with Marie! She was incredibly knowledgable about both Lyon’s history and all the wine of the region and was able to answer any questions we had. We really loved how personable and fun she was! We were just a small group of 4 friends and she made sure we had a great time. She checked in on us before and throughout the tour to make sure she was spending time discussing things we were interested in, and shared her own personal experiences working with and studying wine with us. We loved her! The wine was amazing, the snacks included were delicious, and we loved that Marie told us which snack to pair with which wine. Even the apartment where the tasting took place was beautiful, with comfortable seating and a very clean bathroom. Highly recommend, a great way to spend a half-day in Lyon. And next time we’re in the region would love to do one of the longer trips!

We had a lovely tour through the old town with Olivier and Marie. After the interesting tour, we had a wine tasting in an old apartment in the old town. We had local wines and they were all great and we got lots of information about each wine and what cheese and other food goes with it. All in all, a great visit!

We spent a wonderful morning exploring Vieux Lyon, guided by Olivier. He helped us discover hidden passages and historical anecdotes about the city. After this little stroll, we tasted a variety of wines accompanied by cheeses and charcuterie in an apartment with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The wines were delicious and the comments made on each one were very enriching.
I'd recommend this activity to anyone looking to discover some of the traboules of Vieux Lyon and spend a convivial moment!

The Traboules tour and wine tasting in Lyon's old town with Olivier and Marie was the perfect tour to explore Lyon's old town. The knowledge they shared with our group of 5 friends was remarkable, both historically and in terms of the wines we tasted later. We saw many wonderful traboules, fountains, and local stores on the walking tour. The food and wine pairing in a beautiful apartment overlooking the old town was excellent. Kanpai tourism provided great literature and maps on the wines we were tasting. After doing this tour, it made me want to do all the other tours they offer! They were great hosts and I look forward to future tours. Thank you so much!
