Guided tour of the Beaujolais Wine Region called
At 2:00 pm, your 8-seater minibus leaves Bellecour Square in Lyon to the Beaujolais wine region called "CRUS".
After a short transfer, start this Lyon half day excursion travelling on the beautiful "Beaujolais Wine Road" and with your guide learn about the "terroir" (french philosphy for wine), gamay grape varietal, geography and the difference between Beaujolais, Beaujolais-Villages and Crus wines appellations.
Pass the Mount Brouilly, a strikingly beautiful dormant volcano covered by secular vineyards and cross the famous wine towns of Régnié, Morgon & Fleurie.
Then, Stop at La Madone Chapel in Fleurie and enjoy a breathtaking panaroma of the Beaujolais wine region: on clear days, you may have the chance to see the Alps and the Mount Blanc!
Wine Tasting
Wine-tasting at a Beaujolais family winery & Castle wine Estate
At 3:30 pm, push the door of a small beaujolais family winery, meet a passionate wine-maker and learn the different steps of the unique wine making process of Beaujolais called "semi-carbonic" maceration.
Then, go to the nicely decorated wine-tasting room to enjoy several crus Beaujolais wines in a fun and friendly atmosphere!
Travel again on the Beaujolais wine road to reach a Chateau Wine Estate and enter a magnificent cellar full of oak barrels. In this amazing cellar setting, do a beaujolais wine-tasting of 5 wines from different geographic areas called terroir. Take your time to savor Morgon, Chénas, Moulin-à-vent wines as your guide describes them and tell you about their aromas, balance and complexity...

Meet your guide in front of the entrance door of the Lyon Tourist Office building located on Place Bellecour. The building is 50 meters from the Hôtel Le Royal and 50 meters from the Monop Store.
