During the months of June and July, discover the fascinating beauty of lavender in bloom which enchants the landscapes of Drôme Provençale region with a thousand purple colors and scents. Only 2 hours from Lyon, experience a day in Provence with a visit to the magnificent Château de Grignan and a lavender producing farm:

Program for the day “Château de Grignan and lavender in bloom
In the morning, after a 2-hour transfer by coach from Lyon, discover the magnificent Grignan village surrounded by lavender fields.
With your guide, start the day with a visit to the imposing Renaissance-style Château de Grignan. Discover its eventful history and the many celebrities who stayed there, including the Marquise de Sévigné.
Then take a moment to stroll through the village of Grignan and let yourself be won over by the mild Mediterranean climate.
Around midday, have lunch at a local restaurant in Dieulefit town serving Provençal specialties. Menus from € 25 / not included.
At beginning of the afternoon, stop at the listed village of Poët-Laval and admire the magnificent panorama over the Jabron valley.
Around 3:30 p.m., visit a lavender production farm and discover the secrets of making lavender essential oil and its cosmetic products. Give way to your 5 senses, smell, look, touch, listen and taste Provence!
Finally return to Lyon for an arrival at your hotel around 6:30 p.m.
