On Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the 3rd week of each November, Kanpai operates a special “Beaujolais Nouveau Wine Tour” to make you feel the unique party atmosphere of this French wine region. During 4 days, hundreds of small family estates open their cellar doors to welcome visitors from France and all over the world. Visit 2 wineries, taste the "new wine" and experience the Beaujolais Nouveau Release Festival the most authentic way!"

Morning
Scenic drive through the Beaujolais Nouveau Region:
At 9:00 am, your 8-seater minibus leaves Place Bellecour in Lyon to the Southern Beaujolais region.
Start the morning with a scenic drive through the Golden Stone Region where hundreds of small family wineries produced the famous Beaujolais Nouveau wine.
Cross several quaint medieval towns built in yellow stones and capture the beauty of French Autumn with vineyards leaves changing of colours: feast your eyes with some yellow, red, brown, green, etc.
Then, stop to visit Oingt, a picturesque town listed as one of the “157 Most Beautiful Villages in France” and learn about the Beaujolais "terroir".
Along the tour, discover with your guide the history of the Beaujolais Nouveau, its unique wine-making process and how this world wine event began.
Wine Tasting
Visit of 2 wineries and Beaujolais Nouveau wine-Tasting
Then, successively push the doors of 2 family wineries and in each of them taste the Beaujolais Nouveau wine or "primeur", production of the year.
Delight yourself with this young, fresh & fruity ruby nectar made from the Gamay grape and of course get the opportunity to taste other Beaujolais wines called "vins de garde", wines that you can aged several years in your cellar.
Slowly get into the atmosphere and let "the magic" and "spirit" of the Beaujolais Nouveau Festival taking over, when wine means conviviality, friendship, sharing and partying!

Meeting Point / Location For Tour Departure
Meet your guide in front of the entrance door of the Lyon Tourist Office building located on Place Bellecour. The building is 50 meters from the Hôtel Le Royal and 50 meters from the Monop Store.
