Prestige wines of the Lyon region - 2 hours - 6 wines:

In the morning or in the afternoon, our wine expert welcomes you in his lovely tasting room located in the heart of Vieux-Lyon district or another meeting facility if we need to.

On the program, a prestigious wine-tasting of 6 vintages from Lyon wine regions including an old vintage.

Below an example of high-end wine-tasting we do normally, which can also be personalized on request:

White wines:
- Pouilly Fuissé: appellation from the South Mâconnais region, one of the best area for chardonnay grape, giving wines with a lot of freshness and minerality;
- Condrieu: cru from the Rhône Valley made from the Viognier grape varietal and known for its great aromatic richness;

Red wines:
- Morgon: in this area of the Beaujolais region, the gamay grape grows on schist and granite soils, giving strong body, complexity and spiciness to the wines.
- Côte Rôtie: the “queen” appellation of Cotes du Rhône comes from Syrah and sometimes Viognier grape varietal. Côte Rôtie wines are distinguished by finesse and elegance;
- Châteauneuf-du-Pape: predominantly Grenache varietal, this world-famous wine is characterized by its aromas of ripe red and black berries and its richness;
- An old vintage of at least 8 years of age.

For each tasting, our wine expert presents the winemaker, the characteristics of the appellation AOC and give a full description of the wine profile. Group members feel free to give their impressions and tastes and our wine expert answers general and technical questions in a nice friendly atmosphere.

During the tasting, a small cheese and cold meats platter is served and allows sometimes surprising food and wine pairings. Each participant will be given a wine-tasting notebook with geographical maps and a summary of the explanations.

A "VIP" wine tasting not to be missed!
