Chocolate and Wine in Hermitage

In the morning, after a 1-hour transfer by coach from Lyon, open the door to the Cité du chocolat in Tain l'Hermitage.

Start the day with a 45-minute workshop to learn how to taste chocolate! Steps, techniques, vocabulary and sensory profiles are discussed during the tasting of 6 chocolate grand crus.

Then visit the museum and learn about cocoa cultivation, producing countries and the stages to produce finish chocolate. Finally, stroll through the shop to possibly buy some delicious souvenirs.

At midday, have lunch in a nice restaurant and savor the local cuisine. Menus from €25/person.

In the afternoon, admire the Rhône river from the Seguin footbridge before taking a short walk in the town of Tain l'Hermitage.

Then after a short coach transfer, visit a wine estate and meet a passionate winemaker.

Learn about vines, Syrah, Marsanne and Roussanne grape varieties, winemaking and barrel aging. End the day with a nice wine tasting before returning to Lyon.
