Along this journey, let us drive you through charming towns with majestic castles and introduce you some of the most renowned Beaujolais wines.
Tour highlights:
*In the morning, discover Beaujeu, the historic capital of Beaujolais where you can admire the timbered facades of its beautifully maintained 14 th century buildings.
Then, be welcome warmly at a small family winery for a guided visit of the vineyards before tasting several Crus wine selections in a friendly atmosphere.
*At lunch, eat in the quaint town of Fleurie , in a nice restaurant serving typical Beaujolais cuisine. Menus start from € 18 (not included).
*In the afternoon, stroll through the magnificent French-Style gardens of the Château Pizay built between the XII and XIV centuries.
Then, go to Mont Brouilly, a strikingly beautiful dormant volcano crowned by a chapel to protect the Beaujolais wine-makers. The legend says Mont Brouilly was created by the Giant Gargantua, hurling large rocks following a drinking bout one evening!
Complete this wine escapade at Château La Chaize tasting in the longest cellar of Beaujolais (108 m!). Enjoy several seductive and pleasant aromatic Brouilly wines in an exclusive & unforgettable cellar setting.
