Cycling & Wine Tasting

Escape from the ordinary and discover the hidden treasures of the Golden Stones Country at the pace of a bike ride. Peddle off the beaten track among vineyards, visit picturesque villages and immerse yourself in French wine traditions. Whether you are cyclists with a little practice or just France visitors, this tour is for you!

Highlights:

Early on the morning or at the beginning of the afternoon, be introduced to our professional bike guide in a small town of the Beaujolais region. Get fitted with a bike and a helmet and after a short presentation of the French rules-of-the-road as well as how to operate the bike, start the tour. Cycle at you pace through vineyards and discover beautiful Beaujolais sceneries with rolling hills.

On the way, stop and visit the medieval town of Oingt, listed among the 152 most beautiful villages in France. Then, go through several lovely picturesque towns built in ochre shining yellow stones and see majestic castles. Learn about French history and sights as you refresh yourselves with mineral water from our assistance vehicle.

At the arrival, be warmly welcome by the wine-maker himself, visit his winery and taste several of his gamay & chardonnay wines with cheese and sausage. Great friendly atmosphere guarantee!

Level practice: before the tour, we will determine together the average level of your group to design an adapted tailor made itinerary. The tour is suitable for all levels of ability with mostly flat roads and few difficulties with some hills to climb. We give the option of electric bikes rentals: extra cost of € 20 / bike. The average tour mileage is between 7 to 10 miles. Longer routes are optional for those who may want more distance.
